Keeping Your Spirits (Afternoon)
December 16 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
This 2 hour session welcomes people to learn and practice embodiment tools and practices to support your well being through the darkest of times. Not some toxic-positive, spiritual bypass, good vibes only kind of space, this space is made flexible for you to participate in the ways that feel best for you from where you are. Camera on/off, following along or listening in the background: your choice- spending 2 hours, being with what your body needs. Skilling up and tending our hearths together knowing that there is darkness- and that with the coming solstice, we will welcome the slow return of the light. Using ritual, embodiment tools and magic, we work together to break the spells of disenchantment, disconnection, shame, and dominator culture.
SoftTouchBodies is the practice of Kori Doty, an educator and bodyworker. Their back ground in sexual health and harm reduction, personal experiences of queerness, transition, pregnancy, parenting, caregiving, bereavement and training in somatics all inform the work they do to support queer and neurodivergent people with
big feels words, soft felt goods and motions for emotion.
TAKE NOTE: THIS SESSION IS OFFERED IN THE NIGHT TOO- I WILL BE DOING IT TWICE, PLEASE TRY AND BUY TICKETS FOR THE ONE YOU WILL ACTUALLY ATTEND- IF YOU GET THE WRONG ONE, REACH OUT TO GET THE CORRECT LINK.
