STICC Halloween Coming Up on Wednesday

I have been having a lot of fun so far this year working on my Halloween costume, which, to be real, is mostly a very intricate hat. But, as I am taking cues from my daughter who says, “for halloween, I am always the main character, papa is the goofy guy i meet along the way, and coco, well she would usually be the witch.” We have had some variation of this family costume theme for a number of years now – the narrative path we are on this year is Alice in Wonderland… which, if you are tracking, makes sense that my costume crafting focus is a hat.

It’s not my first Wonderland themed costume, but things have changed since I was 19 and sitting in a blue mummy bag with a shisha pipe on the porch of a friends place spewing profundities. Absolem will likely find a way to be integrated into the Mad Hatter’s tea party, which has been crafted from polymer clay in miniature, so as to fit inside of a light up hat.

I am excited to gather with folks next wednesday as we apply whatever last finishing touches to our costumes remain, share about the things we have crafted, and discuss the application of costumes, roles and pre-meditated dynamics in the erotic context.

I started last month doing these monthly craft and intimacy skills crossover events, and am really enjoying having a monthly event on the books again. A part of the idea of starting this one came out of the work that I had done making needle felted genital models (which was the craft & theme of Septembers’ kick off event.)

I wanted to create a cozy and casual event where folks could busy their hands while also nerding out and learning something about a skill or practice that might serve their erotic well being, and thus, STICC was born. Soft Touch Intimate Craft Crossover happens on the last Wednesday afternoon (1-3 Pacific) of each month, and every month the themes and craft activities change to follow some seasonal inclinations.

Consider buying a ticket and joining us next wednesday. If erotic role play isn’t really your thing, but you have a halloween costume or cosplay masterpiece you would like to show off, that’s welcome. If you don’t have a halloween costume that you are working on, but are curious about ways that you could make your erotic encounters more playful or creative, that’s also welcome. Participation is driven by consent and in the small group setting there is lots of permission to be unsure, ask questions, hang back, be curious or…. what ever it is you are feeling on the day.
